companies do not lose their popularity. These Companies are tried to make limited resources with
the help of such an application. This will help them in an identification of new business
connections.

Business intelligence has set of tools and techniques, raw data into useful information. BI technologies are able to handle the huge amount of formless data. This will help to improve and New strategic business
opportunities.

The difference between data and information:

Data is raw material for analysis. Data is always related to events. Once the data is
analyzed it's considered to be meaningful information.

Definition:

MSBI stands for Microsoft Business Intelligence. It is the powerful collection of tools.
Which help in provide best Solutions for Business Intelligence.

MSBI TOOLS:

Microsoft provides some useful tools to transform business data into information.
The tools use tools to use with the interface of Visual Studio.

SQL server is release in 2012. Business Intelligence Develop studio (BIDS) was replaced to SQL server Data Tool (SSDT).

SQL Server Data Tools:

The following gives a Brief description of BI Tools:

ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) Tools:

ETL that it’s takes the data from different sources of locations. Might be as a different data format and store
this data into a destination (Data Warehouse).Extracts data from homogeneous or heterogeneous data source
Transforms the data format for querying and analysis purpose

LOADS it is the final target (database, more specific, operational data store, data mart).

ETL work model:

List of ETL tools: It has three tools those are following below.

                   1. SSIS – SQL Server Integration Services – Integration

                   2. SSAS – SQL Server Analytical Services -Analysis

                   3. SSRS – SQL Server Reporting Services – Reporting.

These are three tools we are using for ETL Analysis and Report in MSBI.

SQL Server Integration Service (SSIS):

SSIS is the ETL tool from Microsoft Integration Services is a platform for building high-performance data
integration and workflow solutions.  We can process the data from different locations and different formats.
Save the Data into a centralized repository as a Data Warehouses.

SQL Server Analysis Service (SSAS):

Convert the two-dimensional data into multi-dimensional data model (OLTP). This will help you to analyze the
large volume of data.

Some of the advantages:

                         1. Multi-dimensional analysis.

                         2. Key performance Indicator (KPI) Scorecard.

                         3. Slice, drill down functionalities.

                         4. Good performance.

                         5. Security and so on.

SQL Server Reporting Service:

Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) is an organization. It supports various data sources like two-dimensiona
and multi-dimensional.

The following are some features of SSRS:

                                         1. Retrieve data from a different source.

                                         2. Web-based access to reports

                                         3. Support for Ad-hoc reporting.

                                         4. Report builder helps to customize the reports for the end user.

                                         5. Easy subscriptions options.

                                         6. Export functionality with lots of formats.

                                         7. Display reports in various ways like tabular, chart, Gauge and so on.
